3D is an Isle of Man based company established in 2008 which owns the exclusive IP protected rights to a technology platform enabling impedance measurement in a number of applications. 

To date, one application of this technology addressing the dentistry market, has been developed by 3D’s Dundee based wholly owned subsidiary, CarieScan Ltd.  This first commercial product based on the technology is an easy to use, highly accurate hand held device for the early detection and monitoring of tooth decay.  The technology also has the potential to be used in a larger number of applications including the detection of osteoporosis, skin and oral cancer and in medical imaging.
